Nu Wexler brings a broad range of skills in political communications to Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide. Nu has been actively involved in political and public affairs campaigns for over ten years, with management experience in communications, research and field operations. He has extensive experience with stakeholder outreach, crisis management, materials development, grassroots campaigns, and media relations at the local, national, international, and trade levels.
At Ogilvy PR, Nu works with LexisNexis’ Risk & Information Analytics Group, identifying and developing story ideas and speaking opportunities based on key information technology trends. Other current clients include Virgin America, the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina and the Forest Products Industry National Labor Management Committee.
Most recently, Nu served as the communications director for Wal-Mart Watch, a union-backed issue campaign that pressed the retail giant to improve its employee health care plan. From 2003-2005, Nu was the executive director of the South Carolina Democratic Party, coordinating the party’s campaign operations during the 2004 election cycle.
Prior to that position, Nu served as press secretary for Senator Fritz Hollings and the Senate Commerce Committee, working on consumer telecom issues, the post-9/11 transportation security reforms and the Enron bankruptcy investigation. Previously, Nu was a research analyst for Peter D. Hart Research Associates, conducting quantitative and qualitative opinion studies on behalf of corporate and political clients.
Nu graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in Government & International Studies.
